While the holiday season is a great time to eat, drink and be merry, celebrating the holidays with alcohol can also lead to an increased number of drunk and drug-impaired drivers on our roads. To help Illinois drive zero fatalities to reality, the River Grove Police Department has joined the Illinois State Police and local law enforcement during a special Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement Dec. 16, 2016 through Jan. 1, 2017, to look for alcohol and/or drug-impaired drivers.
Enjoy the festivities, but never drive if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs! Always remember:

Electronics Recycling has Moved
Residents can now recycle electronics on the first Saturday of the month 9am - Noon. proof of residency or business may be required.

If any stranger, claiming to work for the village, wants to enter your home or business,
ALWAYS ASK FOR IDENTIFICATION.
All village employees have been issued a picture I.D. and will gladly present it if asked. Know who you are letting into your home or business.
The River Grove Police Department, being funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation, will be aggressively enforcing DUI, Talk & Text and seat belt violations.

Solicitation within the Village is done by permit and solicitors are screened and bonded. If they are not able to furnish proof call Police immediately. These laws were put into effect to protect the citizens of River Grove.
